In 1947, Hyundai opened its doors for business as a general contractor to take an active role in the
development and industrialization of Korea after the end of World War II. No one could have imagined
what opportunities this would bring.

Hyundai is now a 90 billion dollar a year conglomerate that continues to grow. Our parent company,
Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. has invested a substantial amount time and effort into
manufacturing construction equipment.
We have also invested in R&D and constructed state-of-the-art production facilities in Ulsan, Korea to
assure our customers of our commitment and dedication to the construction equipment market.
Backed by a corporation with more than forty years of experience and technology, Hyundai introduced
two excavators to the North American market in 1989 with a philosophy to provide high quality
products, dependable support and customer service that's there when you need it.
Two years later, Hyundai Construction Equipment (HCE) was formed as a base of operations in order
to further our commitment to this market. HCE now offers more than 18 different models of excavators,
4 models of forestry machines, and 6 wheel loaders. Also, with our aggressive sales and marketing
plans, many new products from a broader line of equipment are on their way.
Building a foundation of our business on the testimonies of successful customers has helped us to
gain worldwide recognition.

As we continually strive for even greater success, your input and opinions are not only welcome but
necessary as we continue to better serve your construction equipment needs.

We hope that you too can become part of the Hyundai team.
